Almost 2 years a go I purchased a brand new Equinox from Chevy. I am a huge Chevy fan and this is the second vehicle I purchased, I previously had a 1998 GMC Pick Up. That truck was great. I am the first owner of this new truck and I extremely do take amazingly great care of the truck because I want it to last. However, I feel this truck was very cheaply made. I am an American and I love to buy American made products to support the American people. Its not that I don’t want to support the foreign countries, most of them are way poorer then the USA. But I want to support American families since jobs are becoming less and less. Off topic a little, but my truck I had to have taken it in a few times to use the warranty. This is kind of annoying; there was a point from last summer I was taken it in for this and that under warranty. YES it was free for the dealership to fix it but it’s kind of annoying to have to take it a lot. My dealership is amazingly great! They treat me very well there. But I should have to take a truck in for these little things. They don’t make trucks like they used to anymore, they use cheep compo ants and they break easily. Just the other week I was with my beautiful and amazing girl friend April, we got her a new truck. It was a Honda/Pontiac dealership. They had a 2008 Pontiac Torrent (my version of my Chevy) and they had a 2008 Honda Odyssey a van. Did you know that 65% of the 2008 Torrent was made in the states and assembles in Canada? While the engine and power train was made here in the USA? The 2008 Odyssey 85% of it was made on the USA while the power train and engine was made outside of the USA but the whole vehicle was assembled in the US...in the US!! That is unreal it’s kind of ridiculous that an American Made car was hardly made in the US and a foreign car was. Which vehicle would support the American Family? My warranty is up soon on my truck and I spent over $2300 on extending it and yet I still have to have to pay a $100 deductible after the 36,000 miles are up which is very soon. Are they really thinking of the consumer...I think not, 3 year/36000 miles warranty, not made or assembled in the US, things keep on breaking, not even supporting the American Family? What do you think? I think next time I am going to buy a foreign truck, they last longer, and at least they are made and put together in the U S of A!!
